Now that CHRISTMAS is over...

I hope everyone had a safe and joyous Christmas, if according to God's will, for He knows what's best in the long run.

This morning, on television, I saw a commercial for the phone company Sprint that stated, "Now that the holidays are over..." What a coincidence that the holidays ended the very morning after Christmas Day! But, wait, unless my calendar is wrong, Kwanza just started today and New Year's is almost a week away!!! "The holidays" really aren't over...but Christmas is (as well as Hanukkah).

And try to tell me there's not a conspiracy against CHRIST-mas.

MAXIMS TO LIVE BY:
1. Abortion, murder, or moolah won't save thee. Only Jesus Christ;
2. Life's far too short to go to the abyss of Misery for eternity. But, yet, many people choose exactly that;
3. Repent and believe! WWIII looms!! Bush-N-Cheney are puppets for Satan, controlled by the Illuminati;
4. Only 2 realms after our lifelong demise, our Finite Existence, and 1 of 'em ain't too cool;
5. Choose: Our Mighty God vs. your wimpy ego;
6. Never leave me, Lord Jesus, as I’ll never leave you.
GOD BLESS!

I think all of those are good maxims to live by except number three--well, repenting and believing is good. WWIII will come at some point. But, the last line I severely disagree with. I think puppets of Satan--or at least Satan's agenda--have more of a tendency to fight for the right to infanticide; fight for homosexual marriage; want to leave the borders open; want to concede to the terrorists; think America, not the Islamofascists, is the problem; think Palestine should keep getting more and more of Israel's land; think that anything and everything about God should be taken out of the public square--establishing the religion of secular, atheistic, humanism; etc., etc..

I wouldn't call Bush and Cheney puppets of Satan--they are simply trying to protect America--which is their duty--and eliminate EVIL from the world(impossible, but admirable to try). Remember what Jesus said about "a kingdom divided against itself." If anything, Bush and Cheney are simply bringing about God's ultimate, unchangeable plan, which, in our own small ways, we ALL are.

Lanna, don't sign in through blogger. If you're already signed in to blogger, sign back out. Then go to google.com. Go to "sign in" and sign in to your google address. Then go to "My Account", and click on the blogger thing. That should take you to your dashboard and let you post.

Who is this kold_kadavr_flatliner? I see hints of truth amidst all kinds of...hmm, how to say this nicely...junk.

You seem to be compromising God with man. What is all this about Bush and Cheney? What is all this about puppets for Satan?

And what is all this about people choosing to go to "the abyss of Misery for eternity"? A supporting Scripture would be nice.

I think K_K_F (for short) is a spammer, to be honest with you, Austin. We may never see him again, I don't know.

I agree with his "abyss of misery for eternity" point. I think he's saying that many people choose the "pleasures of sin for a season" and thereby also choose the abyss of eternity. Life is way too short to live it as you will and then pay an eternal price.

The "puppets of Satan" thing is ridiculous. The weird thing is that he mentioned abortion negatively, as well. You wouldn't expect that from a Bush-hatin' "Christian," if that's what he calls himself.

He's a so-called "fundementalist". In my opinion, fundamentalism is a cult. You may disagree, though.

It depends on how you define "fundamentalist." I think BeepBeep considers people like me fundamentalists. Sometimes, when people use "fundamentalist," like news stations or something, I think: "Oh, so you mean a REAL Christian." What I mean by that is that it seems the impression or definition of a "fundamentalist" is often, "Oh, so you actually believe the whole Bible?" If that's the definition of a fundamentalist, then I am certainly and wholeheartedly one.

However, what's your (or the official or most common) definition? What do they believe or do that makes them occultic in your view? If that's considered a specific type of religion, then I don't really know a lot about what they believe. Are those the people who want to stand outside of the Amish schoolgirls funerals with signs that say, "Your daughters were wh****...They are burning in hell...You should be glad they died so they didn't store up more of God's wrath for themselves...(and stuff like that)." Tell me, cause then I could probably tell you what I think.

Your right, people like Beepbeep have an entirely different definition of the word fundamentalist. Yes, I actually believe the whole Bible.

It's hard to describe who I'm talking about. They tend to think that they're literal interpreters (though I can prove just the opposite) of the Bible, and will often claim so. They can often be found criticizing anyone and everyone in their path, and I wouldn't put it past many of them to use a megaphone while doing so.

You will also notice a misunderstanding in their camp of the word grace. They will often come upon some conspiracy and claim that we aren't in the will of God because we've lost sight of some commandment, the existence of which they've recently discovered.

They tend to think that God hates everything that brings any kind of pleasure. They don't like music, especially anything remotely enjoyable, nor do they like dancing, or any other form of enjoyment, even if it's in its proper place. Sex is considered a necessary sin, never a good thing in any way, just something that must be done, God forgive us.

Another sure sign is that they have an interpretation of Revelation, complete with timelines and charts.

They love hellfire preaching, especially that of the most descriptive nature.

In the end it comes down to this: They don't really believe what they say. If they really believed what they teach, then they would be on the streets in tears begging people to come to Jesus. Instead, they grab the megaphones.

The only problem is that I don't see any Biblical reason to believe in the inherent immortality of the human soul. Quite the opposite, actually. But we're getting way off topic (my fault), so maybe I'll just post about it some time.
